The Arctic Circle is about 45 miles past the Yukon River. We had a meal near the Yukon and then continued our drive till about 8pm, since sunset wasn't till 10:30pm.

There is a campground up the road behind the Arctic Circle stop. This was our first night. It had been rainly and cloudy in Fairbanks, but it all cleared up.

We saw this arctic hare at the stop.

And as always, there were colorful plants

And then it was on up the Dalton, farther into the Arctic Circle. Here is a pan of two shots of the tundra.
